  • How to install a SpeedoHealer v4.0 (Pics and Vid)

This is a walkthrough for installing a HealTech Speedohealer v4.0

In addition to the Speedohealer box, you will also need to select the appropriate wiring harness for your bike. In the case of Katana's, you need the SH-SO1 harness. This fits both the 600 and the 750, but only for 98+.

Once you have your items, you can begin installing.

Start by removing your left fairing. You will also want to raise your bike onto the centerstand. It will be useful later when calibrating your bike.

Disconnect the existing speed sensor harness. As shown it is the one with the black, black/white, and black/red wires.

Connect the SH-SO1 harness from Speedohealer. The large harness connects to your speed sensor, the smaller one clips into your existing harness that the speed sensor was just in. When you're done, it should be pigtailed and look like this.

You are almost done. Route the wires to where ever you want your speedohealer to be located. HealTech recommends somewhere under the seat away from heat and other electronics. I ran mine along the frame and into my manual storage space.

One thing i forgot to take a picture of was the top speed memory wire. It plugs into the other set of prongs on the speedohealer box and can be routed to where ever your heart desires.

From there, you just need to calibrate and be on your way. Visit to learn specifically how to calibrate for your set up. The bike is on the centerstand at this point so can turn it on and make sure your speedometer works. Test your top speed memory button by pressing it with your ignition on. It should go to the highest speed you have reached so far.
