  • legality of aftermarket exhausts?

I've got a 2bros slip on for a year now. I was told that aftermarket exhausts could get me a fine. I'm in montreal, but am sure there may be similar laws and regulations in some states as well as other countries. I understand these laws may not be enforced, and if so my chances of getting stopped may be as rare as a blue moon, but this is ridiculous. If my stock exhaust is damaged and needs replacement, Suzuki cannot supply me with a stock exhaust!

Technically there are no legal aftermarket exhausts, as none are DOT approved.
90% of motorcycle forum members do not have a service manual for their bike.

Some area's are cracking down on them, London Ontario passed some local by law about them last year If I recall correctly.

My Wileyco almost failed the tech inspection at Calabogie, I was within one of 2 decibels of a fail.
