  • Frame Slider implications...

Anyone here have any experience with a crash with frame sliders? I hate to even ask about something so crappy- but I'm wondering if sliders would translate too much force directly to one point of the frame during a higher/ish speed drop. I can imagine they'd be great for driveway drops, et cetera- but doesn't it just seems like they'd jack your frame up with enough force?

never been in a high speed drop. but i can tell you as of right now they're the best 50 bux i've spent on my bike. a really low speed drop and theres no telling how much money they have saved me. i know this doesn't answer your question just though i'd toss my 2 cents in.

I wished I had them the first time I dropped my bike. I'm glad i had them the last time I dropped my bike.

BTW, I think they may have been correct. It does appear that BLACK is indeed the FASTEST color. R.O.R...R.I.P.M

I lowsided at about 35kmph or so on a roundabout and the sliders saved my plastics. No frame issues at all.

Next question- anyone done the mesh mod, THEN added sliders?

Mine have saved my fairings three times, I only got scratches because the bike rolled into the bar in our garage. I can pivot my bike on the sliders when it's on its side.
