  • Alarm for the Kat

I was looking into a bunch of alarms on Ebay, and was wondering if the ones for $20 are even worth what you pay for them. The one I was more interested in was http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-WAY...QQcmdZViewItem

but was wonding what others have found out regarding their alarms. I would like to get one with a kill switch included, even though it wouldn't stop someone from loading it into a truck if they wanted. Any suggestions?

I bought one similar to these some years ago, it worked for a short period off time then the unit died, so it's poor quality.
If you're going to buy one anyway you will find yourself in need off using an extra relay to connect the alarm to the starter-circuit otherwise the unit will be toasted by the high currents. (If I remember correctly the unit can dissipate max 15 amps)
    Another thing I do remember.
The one I bought was not capable to adjust the tressholds.
All in all I wouldn't recommend it.
