Does anyone in here know how the rearview mirrors on a pre GSX R1100R, 1989 is assembled? Inside the left mirror something came loose and is making this annoying "clonk" sound when hitting a small bump in the road. We have tried to gently pry the glass from the housing but will not use to much force in case the mirror is screwed or glued somehow to the housing. Does anyone know how the glass is mounted inside and how to separate the mirror from the housing without breaking the mirror?

Glued, there is a thread with a similar issue. They put expansion foam in the mirror or something simulsr."I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you when I called you stupid. I thought you already knew..."

Hi 92xjunker. Thank you for your answer. I already saw that thread but think/hope that there must be a better way. With this solution you will not be able to adjust the mirror. In this type of mirror you are only able to adjust the mirror (glass) itself by pushing the edges.
