I think it would be a decent upgrade for the 98 - 02, but the '03 - '05 is already nice with the existing rear end (IMHO) and the part is made of the '03 and later Kats.

I seen a pic of it on a kat, looked alright. I persoanlly like the look of my tail, the Bumble-Bee tail. The company that makes those also makes another undertail with built in blinkers, kinda spendy though.Kan-O-Gixxer!
