I recently purchased a 98 katana 600 that was roughed up by the previous owners. The owner I bought it from gave it a gloss black paint job which he damaged after a 10mph lowside...anyway I am going to strip the bike and have a friend (professional) repaint it but I am struggling with what color(s) to go with. He has access to any factory automobile color I want and there's just too many choices. I'm pretty sure I want the bike to have some color pieces and some black or white pieces but I can't make a decision. Note I have red riding gear so I want something that will look ok with it. Any suggestions and/or custom pics would greatly help me! Thanks!

There is nothing wrong with solids!
But this is one place where every on will have there own opinion.
My final paint job will be a tasteful three color scheme.
Two blacks, gloss and satin, and a dominant "fancy" color perhaps pearl white.http://katriders.com/vb/showthread.php?t=110816

Red riding gear....... so I'd go with gloss black....red rims.....and red badges. Just my thoughts.sigpicLife throws you curves......enjoy the ones you get when riding.

Mine has a replaced faring with a factory piece but just a different shade of blue. The guy I bought it from had it replaced and the responsible party for nailing it did the work and didn't get an exact match. I may end up painting just the faring a different color, I was thinking a pearl white or something to make it pop.
I dunno...maybe it will look good, maybe not.Attached Files
