i own a bicycle shop so i took an old seatpost cut it to four inches welded it to the frame checked to see if the welds were solid they were so i took a pair of orange grips off my wall they cost me 4$.(same grips i have on the kat as well..you can see em in the pic)
put the grips on the slider itself just to make it look good...then took a pair of knylon bar ends that cost me 2 dollars and put them in and BAM done ...set the bike over on both sides cleared the fairings plus they look pretty sweet

Look a little long... like they might just bend back in a crash

For $6.00 it looks great. Can't say if it will/will not hold up to a crash, but as far as appearance goes, it looks good.

Lay the bike over @ about 40-50 and let me know how they hold up.....j/k
            Very nice man!

being welded to frame could cause frame damage if they don't bend. bolt on ones give a little more. looking good though. not a negative.

thanks fellas i will let you guys know as soon as i lay the bike down hopefully not any time soon..kinda did it cause when i first got the bike my dad was sitting on it and had the kickstand up and he forgot he did so he put his feet on the pegs and just fell over i was like wtf >:[ but yeah im happy with em come to think about it i may cut an inch off of em cause they are looking long.

the welding wont take away from much of the frame strength these were still cheap tho

im also working on a tail swap eventually...i hate the tail on the kats..

I hope, for your sake, that they snap off in a slide.

Because if they just snap off, then maybe you would not do much damage to your frame. They don't snap off, and most likely your frame is going to be screwed afterwards due to the length. and welding to frame. Welding does not allow any give as the bolt on sliders do.

No one is being negative about the sliders, but stating the worst case happening if you were to lay the bike over. As stated before, Looks are great. Durability????, know one knows for certain until they are fully tested in a slide, which no one here hopes is ever done, unless it is on a trash bike

i understand...well maybe the length will make the slider bend before the frame gets messed up....i can guarantee they function from a stop i already tried and they kept my fairings nice

but if the frame does bend then good thing i have a welder
