i own a bicycle shop so i took an old seatpost cut it to four inches welded it to the frame checked to see if the welds were solid they were so i took a pair of orange grips off my wall they cost me 4$.(same grips i have on the kat as well..you can see em in the pic)
put the grips on the slider itself just to make it look good...then took a pair of knylon bar ends that cost me 2 dollars and put them in and BAM done ...set the bike over on both sides cleared the fairings plus they look pretty sweet

thanks fellas i will let you guys know as soon as i lay the bike down hopefully not any time soon..kinda did it cause when i first got the bike my dad was sitting on it and had the kickstand up and he forgot he did so he put his feet on the pegs and just fell over i was like wtf >:[ but yeah im happy with em come to think about it i may cut an inch off of em cause they are looking long.
the welding wont take away from much of the frame strength these were still cheap tho
im also working on a tail swap eventually...i hate the tail on the kats..

No one is being negative about the sliders, but stating the worst case happening if you were to lay the bike over. As stated before, Looks are great. Durability????, know one knows for certain until they are fully tested in a slide, which no one here hopes is ever done, unless it is on a trash bikeLast edited by 06katanarider; 06-20-2010, 09:19 PM.R.I.P.
