I finally got all my fairings back on the bike. I ended up going with a duplicolor metallic black. It didn't come out half bad considering I've never painted anything before.

I pretty much followed the writeup that's posted here. Dry sand with 220, wet sand with 400 and clean with naphtha followed by three coats each of fill primer, paint, and clear. If I was doing it again I'd probably double the number of color and clear coats.sigpic
