  • Liscense Plate Bracket Mounted Rear Turn Signals...

Has anyone ever seen these in person? I'm probably going to pick them up but i'm wondering how they are for daytime visibility.

I'm with Supa on this one. I have a buddy that just got a R6 and they were already installed when he got the bike. You can BARELY see them at NIGHT, and during the day they are just plain invisable unless you are right next to him looking very hard.

I'm just trying to figure out a not-ugly way to get rid of my stock gigantuous signals and replace them with clears... will still looking clean and being "reasonably safe".

          LEDs are surprisingly bright.
Those if designed correctly are going to be as bright in daylight as your stock ones.
Note: " if designed correctly "

Lou does your friend have the same item?
SUPA LEDs work best with cap-lock off..

Not sure what brand they are, they were installed when he bought the bike used.

            You could check at Superbrightleds.com

They have a great selection, and awsome service. Also, there are some small flushmounts you can buy through a company like dennis kirk, made buy Lockhart Philips. That is what I am getting for my rear.

              .
They have good LEDs.. I used theirs in my project.
Radio Shack had 10K mdc LEDs that were about 1/3 as bright as Super bright leds 10Ks..

THATS TRUE THERES A DIFF IN THE KIND OF LEDS YOU USE...THOSES LOOK LIKE THE CRAPPY 1s HOWEVER, THE 1s USED ON THE SUVs SIDE MORRORS (RED ARROWS) ARE THE GOOD 1s. YOU MAY WANT TO BUY A SET OF THOSE OT THE FLUSH MOUNTS AND STICK EM ON THE L/R REAR TAIL FAIRINGS...IN A MONTH , WHEN MY KAT IS THE KOTM, YOULL SEE WHAT I MEAN..LOL

I'll try to take some pics of my LEDs when the sun comes out. Not today

First I have to get this cap-lock key unstuck..

I think i'm going to check with some local riders and dealers to see what theirs look like before i make any decisions.

I like the totally clear look which is why i'm leaning towards LED lighting.

I was going to get the Clear Alternatives LED Tailing (98-02 style) and fashion some sort of LED turn signals for the rear.

If the LEDs aren't as visible (read... not as safe) as the clear lens/amber bulb combo would be... then i'll get the Clear Alternatives Tailight (Red Insert) and some Mini Cat Eye Short Stalk signals (Clear/Black/AmberBulbs). It won't be as clear/clean looking on my black bike... but i'll have less chance of a cager deciding to run over me too.

I have a buddy who has a buell that put leds like those on it. It looks great at night, but almost impossible to see during the day.
