Another rattle can paint job

This is my friends 01 Katana...

We painted it using dupli-color universal black and clear.
It was wet sanded and polished once, still no sealer or wax yet. I'll let it sit up for a couple weeks before I finish polishing and sealing and wax.
Its really dusty in the pics, its been sitting in the corner of the shop all week. I'll get some touched up pics in a coupole weeks

Looks great. The only thing I saw an issue with is waxing... How long has the paint been drying? I ask cause you are not supposed to put wax on fresh paint for I think it is the first 6months to 1year. Reason is is that even though the paint feels dry it is still releasing chemicals from the inner layers.
The sealer and wax generaly blocks the chemicals form escaping and the paint never fully cures.

I usually wait 4-8 weeks before sealing and wax.
I polish the bike after a week or so then wash it off with dish soap to remove any polish/wax left behind from polishing to the paint can fully cure.
This bike has not been sealed or waxed yet....
