  • Started painting

Well I started to paint my lower cowls today. So far so good. 2 coats of Yellow and 3 coats of clearcoat so far. I even painted my broken not the best quality on the broken piece but have to buy new ne how, just wanted to experiment and make each side match.
I will post pics, but I have to upload them to photobucket first i guess due to size.

Alright, got a little painted last night and wanted to post some pics.

Here is a pic before the paint:

    Left Lower Cowl:

    Lower Right Cowl (broken):

    After cowls put back on:

I am still going to do the mesh mod on the sides and also pull the tail and paint it yellow as well. I am thinking also of painting the front fender yellow. I will be pulling all the stickers aff the bike as well, so that there will be a solid blue. Am thinking of airbrushing either SUZUKI or KATANA in blue on the lower cowls. Should have my windscreen tomorrow, so I will be adding that as well tomorrow hopefully

No Kids! I just like the yellow and not a combo that is seen all the time. Just want to be diff.

Yellow is the safest color. And to each their own. You have any issues painting the chain guard?

Got the windscreen today. I like the color, but dont really go with the bike's yellow. May be selling it so if you need a yellow mirror windscreen PM me and I will let you know first if I do decide to sell.

I always thought the "SUZUKI" on the lower cowl looked nice. I would try to find a blue to match the top, should look real good. Make sure you keep updating...looks great.

That lower cowl can be repaired fairly easy.

How can it be repaired easily? I am missing many of the pieces as it broke all apart when I hit the dog. Would like to do a set of fiberglass lower cowls, but cant spend that kind of money right now.

Interesting paint scheme...will probably look a lot better without the stickers on it.
