  • Mounting driving lights?

Has anyone installed driving/fog lights on their bikes? I saw a really neat setup on an Fz1, but the post 98 Kats dont have the same fender mounts. Is it feasible to mount lights on the mounting bracket for the front fender even though the fender is mounted between the forks?

Any other mounting ideas are welcome.

You know, I'm pretty sure someone at KP had mounted some fog/driving lights midway or so down the main fairings. I remember it being a pre98 but not who's it was.

I'm pretty sure I seen a bike for sale on here somewhere with driving lights a month or two ago. I THINK they mounted on a pre 98 right where those round little reflectors were on the forks.

Just watch the voltage of the lights you are putting on. Don't want to draw to much current!

What about some kind of clamp-on lights around the lower fork legs ?

I would think that you could get something from like Walmart or Pep Boys or something that would work just fine. You may need to make a custom bracket though to mount them to the legs, but I don't see a problem with anything like that as long as the wattage on the lights were not to high.

I only plan on going with 55w bulbs. If I buy the right lights, they will put out as much light as an 85 or 100w bulb.
