    will the color of primer change color of paint ,i had to prime one part of fairing and not other but thay came out different color what i do wronge the paint is yellow .thanks in adv.

    Yes... any color variances under the paint will effect the hue or shade of the paint. This is one type of "ghosting" effect used by many painters. If your wanting all one color, be sure to prime all parts the same color.

    Different color primers will even effect the final result in other ways as well. Black primer will darken the hue... white primer will lighten the hue...

      thx man I was goimg crazy I have painted it twice thought it was wronge paint the one with primer was a lighter color the bike was yellow just sand and painted others but the came out dark if I use black primer it would darkin it want to ride this weekend thanks

        dupont uses a value shade system , usually the darker the color the darker the primer!
