  • Question regarding base and clear coat

Alright, I decided to paint the pegs and heel plates and on the pegs I figured they wouldn't be that noticeable so I didn't think I needed to do a perfect paint job. So i didn't really sand after I put on the primer and I put on the base coat and clear and it just bugged me too much the way it came out..I'm kind of a perfectionist...so my question is after the clearcoat I decided then to sand it with 800 grit to sand down the parts that were not smooth and now do I have to reapply a primer, then base, then clear or can I just put base and clear??

if yo have bare metal showing. then yes you have to primer them again. if not you can paint right over what you all ready have. after you shoot them try wet sanding them with 2500 grit to smoth out any dust. then polish them up with a buffer
