I used paint stripper, did a good job on the edges, but not the center.. The spokes are powder coated, will take some time to do those... Came out good, pics in my garage..2001 Kawasaki zx1100

Nope, had to use it a couple times in some spots. It all looks very good. I left some on the center for half an hour, didnt remove the paint..
I used the stuff u had to put on with a brush. My buddy used the spray on... So they both work.2001 Kawasaki zx1100

I used Zip-Strip on mine, and Mothers. For the stained spots use some 600 and 1000 grit sand paper. To get the tough spots I used a 3m Medium Scratch pad. And it looks a whole lot better than the purple wheels!Always count on hitting pavement twice. First time from inexperience, the second from thinking you are experienced!

I used aircraft stripper and then removed the leftover spots with a scotchbrite wheel.
Then went over the entire rim (minus the center) with a very fine scotchbrite wheel.
All I do now is use the Mother's aluminum polish about every month or so and they are good to go.
Good luck.....It would't be any fun if it was easy! BUT, it does have to be this much fun!!
