Powder coating engine covers

I am trying to black out some of the silver/chrome parts on my bike. So far I've powder coated the rear peg brackets, the heel guards, and the rear brake lever. I've been a little nervous about doing the left and right side engine covers though. Ive thought about just buying some used ones instead of ruining my own. If anyone knows anything about powder coating or has seen these peices done please let me know.

If powdercoating doesn't work, I beleive Duplicolor makes some High-Temp Paints.
