  • Aftermarket Windscreen

Anyone used an aftermarket windscreen on a '98+ Katana 600? I'm looking for more wind protection for cruising the superslab at 75+.

Looks like Zero Gravity makes this one and I'm sure there are more....

    Thanks!

I saw an aftermarket screen on a BMW that I thought was interesting.
It had a spoiler that velcroed to the top of it so you could remove it when cruising around town. It was basically a curved piece of windshield that would direct the air up over your head. Kinda like the bug screens that you
see on the on the trucks.
But I also remember seeing them with that bend as part of the windshield.
I'll bring in my camera tomorrow and see if that guy rode in.

PM Beekman. He had a taller windscreen once and can tell you what and where to get it.
        Bike is sold

I like to use these on those:

          Sport Tech
          Memphis Shades
          Zero Gravity

          in that order...........

Sport Tech has some pretty cool colored chrome ones..........

Memphis Shades ones fade from a shade up towards clear

Zero Gravity has mostly solid shaded ones........
I've owned over 70 Katanas - you think I know anything about them?
Is there such a thing as TOO MANY BIKES?
Can you go TOO FAST on a bike?

I installed the Zero Gravity Sport-Touring screen earlier this summer. You can see it & read about it here:

I've got the Sport Tech yellow chrome, looks good although not a perfect match to the Kat yellow.

I am just in the process of purchasing a new windscreen. I was leaning towards the Lockhart Phillips, Euro windscreen. Has anytone tried this yet?

Have on on a pre-98 771. It has the flip up lip at the top and seems to deflect more air. Good choice!!!

Thanks. I will now be placing the order tomorrow. I think I may have seen a pic with that style in one of the Braada photos.

I was told in late summer that Lockhart Phillips ( www.lockhartphillips.com ) didn't have them available... whether that means they were out of stock, or whether they stopped distributing them and the manufacturer is still making them, or if the manufacturer stopped making them altogether, I'm not sure.

True enough, the Euro is unavailable , and no luck with e-bay either. Has anyone tried the Cheetah SST windscreen, by National Cycle?
