Here is my newest mod. Just finished it today at lunch. Just thought I would share to get comments and opinions.

It wasn't too hard. I soaked it in laquer thinner first to get most of the paint off. Then I hit it with 220 grit (cause I had a couple of deep scratches), then 400 wet, 600 wet, and 800 wet, then I used the buffing wheel, and then by hand. And wah-la, the finished product.

best part is you can keep doing it over and over - I hit mine with the buffing wheel and some mother's polish every month or two....

oh, and this is addictive - I have done grab bar, shift levers and brake lever

One other note, I like my levers better now that they are polished - using 200 I rounded them off a little more than stock, so they are smoother on the fingers and overall slicker than with the clear coat.
