I discovered this weekend when painting rims with the tires on them, instead of fighting masking tape around the tire the hard way, mask around the lip of the rim and then spray the tire with cooking spray or "PAM". Then, remove the tape from the outter lip of the rim and paint. The paint that lands on the cooking spray will wipe or wash off effortlessly. Also cooking spray will not harm your tires rubber. Dont know whether I heard this tip from someone, or if I thought of it myself, but either way the idea works great!

sounds like a good idea. I might just try that sometime, out of curiosity. personally I am used to using masking tape, but it still sucks cuz it can be time consuming and a pita.I don't have a short temper. I just have a quick reaction to bullshit.
