cowl install

I am installing my cowl, I have it lined up in the front, and it looks like it is in the correct position but I am having trouble getting the rear of the seat to go into the latch with the cowl on, does anyone have any suggestions?

Readjust the cowl alittle more forward. The colw should only hang off the back about 1/4 to and 1/8 th of an inch. Then try putting the seat back on then. It is a snug fit when it is on to give it the solo seat look. Just do little adjustments and it will fit. Trust me it took me a few minutes to get it to sit just right where it needed to be. Jim makes these so that they fit perfect.

i have that problem every time i take the cowl off my seat

I could never get it right and I'm not very patient so I ended up putting a couple thick washers under the bushings of the seats locking mechanism.

It raised it up just enough to latch perfectly everytime.

Or you could just have Range ask if it has a sister

btw, I readjusted it, is that a word, and It goes on pretty easy now

I had to PM jim when I first got mine. I put it on there, and I was like, is it supposed to be this snug of a fit ? I was like, Duh, oh, now I get it.
