Not to be a douche here, but if you want a GSXR body and engine, why not just buy a GSXR rather than spend all that time trying to incorporate all that into a Kat. Just makes no sense to me. Maybe I'm dumb. I don't know.

read the first post of this thread! haha at least with fairings that will answer your question.
as for the rest im sure it can be done with mods obviously, unfortunately i do not have much experience in the matter, only what i have picked up from being on here

hey guys, quick question. i am trying to fix up my bike i got some plastics, and i am missing some bolts. do you think it is worth it to get a whole fairing bolt kit and replace all of them or should i just get some bolts from a hardware store. if so what size bolts and everything would i need for it.

and i know there is a post somewhere about this but i couldnt find them.
i think im leaning towards the whole kit, cuz they will be all chrome, rather than painted and they will match.

    thanks in advance

HEy there guys, I am new here, and am looking to do some mods to my '06 Kat. I am wondering what all is interchangable though and also what years. Is anything interchangable from the gsxr to the gsxf? I have searched and searched, but found few aftermarket fairings or anything really for my gsxf600. If anyone can give me advice, please do. Thanks guys and the site looks good.

anybody know where you can get the belly fairings for the post98 my bike fell over in my garage onto a cinder block and broke the back corner of the belly fairing off as well as the mounting tab on the main fairing on that side,or would it be easier to fiberglass the back side and epoxy the front sand it down again and paint it.I had just gotten done painting the bike.Paint hadn't even cured yet been sitting about a week when it fell over.aaarrrrg man this sucks

Try ebay or google. This site has an agreement to only offer 1 brand of solo cowl for 98+ bikes, and the brand is temorarily unavailable.

I've thought about it... It looks like you'd have to Macgyver the front 1/3 of the pre tail plastics with the post plastics. It would be a lot more work than it's worth for that tail section.

Bearing sizes for all 89-97 kats, in the swingarm are 22X29X30 confirmed part # 3043-001.

The sleaves the bolt are inserted through are different part numbers, so I'd bet that is where the difference is made up for the bolts also being of a different size. They must have different IDs.

So much so that the bearings in the swingarms are exactly the same. So even swaping arms, you could just use the 3 sleaves and bolt that go with the bike with np, and not drill the hole.
