  • The Kat so far!!

    My 2002 Kat 600 so far. By next month: new tires, ignition advancer, and solo cowl.


    The day after I got the bike. Before the mods virus.

                What did you use for the frame sliders and were did you bolt them in?

                  The frame sliders only have to be long enough to stick out through the fairings. I drilled a whole through the frame (I hate it I had to do that) and welded a nut and a larger washer together so it would distribute the force of a fall through out more of the frame instead of a small whole or area.
                  I laid the bike on its side to see if any thing else would touch but the only 2 things that touched were the frame sliders and bar ends.

                    I really hate saying this but i kind of liked the old graphics on the bike versus the clean look.

                    But hey different strokes for different folks.

                      The graphics were just too bright. The bright fluorescent yellow didn't really go with anything. Also some graphics got scrapped off when the last owner went down on it on both sides. Now that guy was a moron.
