If you have air tools, I suggest using a Air hammer. That thing works wonders.

Don't hit your leg with it though, that really hurts.

Should probably be able to get away with 3/8.

As long as you can get a phillips hooked in there.

I used a pipe wrench to loosen mine

Does anyone know what size to get? 3/8 or 1/2in.

Stock bar ends are weighted. Aftermarket ones are often just for show. The weighted bar ends are meant to reduce vibration in the grips and reduce rider fatigue(numbness). They also help (in a small way) to increase stability and handling at higher speeds.

I had a helluva time getting mine off to put the CF ones on.. since i didnt have an impact..I just took a screwdriver, and banged it with a hammer a few times, then twisted the hell out of it, and they came off .. Whew!!

use the impact driver and smack it with a hammer! That is about all unless you want to drill the bolt out.

    Meikol..
You cut me to the quick..
I tried the screw extractor. No dice.
The stud was rusted in prety tight.
In the end I just decided to drill it out..
I'll eventually drill out the other side to match.
For a bar end it wasn't worth the effort of drilling up
    and removing the threads..
    I have my clip-ons now..
    Whoo hoo..
I'll be out of town for a week
I might get them on next weekend..
