i have this impact wrench that i bought from the local dealer. mine is the one where you put in the philips head bit and just tap (or hit) the end of the wrench and it should loosen up your bolt. i like it, its also pretty convenient for other stuff as well. tool was at most 20 bucks (don't quite remember how much). just make sure you don't try and use a screwdriver and end up stripping the bolt. best of luck
if its got 2 wheels or a skirt....i'll ride it.

That is the best way. If you break it come back and we'll tell you haow to get it out.

Seriously, they are REALLY loctited in there good from the factory. So they need to be broken loose.

Definatley a must-have for the home motorcycle mechanic . Go to Auto Zone or someplace similar and ask for an impact DRIVER .

                Meikol..
You cut me to the quick..
I tried the screw extractor. No dice.
The stud was rusted in prety tight.
In the end I just decided to drill it out..
I'll eventually drill out the other side to match.
For a bar end it wasn't worth the effort of drilling up
                and removing the threads..
                I have my clip-ons now..
                Whoo hoo..
I'll be out of town for a week
I might get them on next weekend..

use the impact driver and smack it with a hammer! That is about all unless you want to drill the bolt out.
