I am pretty sure that my 2003 is ABS. The bike is in storage right now so I can't check. Zleviticus, what makes you say that your panels are fiberglass? It seems odd because fiberglass is expensive.

Nope all the plastics are ABS that I know of. It looks like fiberglass due to the mold they come out of. That is the best answer I can come up with.

Actually the panels are probably injection molded fiberglass reenforced ABS. The ABS pellets that are used actually contain fiberglass strands. The glass adds a lot of strength and stiffness. It also makes it easier for the manufacturer to control dimensions. Laying up fiberglass or even using chop glass for body panels is a major PITA. That makes fiberglass panels expensive.
