Would the crystal clear tail-light really be legal though here in the states? Doesn't your rear tail light have to be red?

It's red when running. There's lots of clear taillights up here.

I haven't had it on the road yet with these mods but my guess is that it's just as bright if not brighter from some angles.

i know in ohio anyway, you don't have to have red plastic taillights, you only have to have red relectors on your tail light. so you can have clear as long as it reflects red when headlights hit it and as long as it lights up red when brakes are applied.

thats one of the things that concerened me with the clear...was being visible as much in the daylight...but it hasnt deterred me yet from wanting them!
