    alright here we go...

Accents would be cool, tasteful, too much of it would definately look pimpish

How do you happen to have a gold plating machine?

The problem with gold plating is that gold is very soft, so it tends to wear quickly when applied in very thin layers (as electroplating does). A low-gold compound (say an 8 carat gold with nickel as the balance) would wear far slower and still provide much of the same benefit.

Note that your gold plating system can be used with other chemicals to do other forms of electroplating, such as chrome, etc.

          Cheers

Sounds like it'll be cool. As long as things match and flow.

while we're kinda on the topic of chroming and whatever else. does anybody have any of the "do it yourself" chroming kits? any preferences on what works the best? i'm looking into getting the chrome chemicals for my electroplater, but want some more input.

Correct me if I am wrong but don't you have to have a nickle patter and chromer? I don't really know but I am interested in the whole process.

Would you be interested in taking on some small parts from KR members? If you are I call dibs first! There is no such thing as too much bling bling.

God and blue would be nice as long as the gold is in small amounts.

thaz- you only have to have aluminum parts plated nickel, then you can plate them whatever you want (AS FAR AS I AM AWARE OF). This may be different, depending on the processes.

Mr. Clean- I would love to take on some small parts for KR members, but I want to become proficient at the whole process and make sure everything looks good before i start doing orders for members. would you want gold or chrome? i'll remember you called first dibs. PM me if you want some more details and what kind of parts your looking to get done.

I could be thinking of the other process of chroming not electroplating.

Is a swingarm and frame considered small <laugh here>

I think its a real good idea, accents in gold would look sweet...

BUT, IMO, on this occ bike, it can look overdone if ur not careful. (this bike is in copper, but you get the idea)
