Painting mirror stalks and housing

I saw a pic of a blue Kat on here and the side mirror arms/stalks and housings were painted blue. It looked awesome, now I cant find the pic.

I'm thinking about bringing them to the paintshop with my Bradda cowl when (if it ever) arrives. Or is the plastic too rough to paint and clearcoat?
