Those are the same thing that hold on the most of the panels on a C-130 that have to be removed alot. I hate the falt head ones. The cross points work alot better. Now I can go get a hold bunch of these for FREE and the plates that they go into.

We use those for the body on our race car, they are pretty sweet as long as all the holes line up well. The flat head ones work well with pennies, or nickels, I can't remember. They require a bit of work to install though, at least the ones I've worked with ( have to rivet them in).

they are designed for a 1 yen coin. I wouldn't be surprised if they are
matched to the country of origin. 1 lire coin on Ducatis???
That may explain why neither a nickel or a penny is exactly right.
The ones for the C130 come with a $500 hand driver right?

If you check with your local fastener supply firm, they can find you the Druz fasteners with the D-rings -- no slot, just grab the D-ring and give it a quarter turn to unbuckle. They rattle more and tend to rub the paint if not sized so as to only overlap the head, but it's faster, easier.
