Krey, I have searched the part fiche and I don't see what your refering to.
I think this is something you should add to your list of things to sell. Besides the caliper bracket, I have no idea whats going on here and no idea what this stuff looks like.
How about you gather the parts and I'll buy them from you.

      Hey guys

      I have a 2000 Katana 600.

      Would I run a 150/70 or a 160/60?
i would like to order ContiMotions but all the
150/70's seem to be back ordered. so would a 160/60 work?

Uhh... we're talking about useing a 170 and your asking will a 160 work
Yes the 160 will work fine.
The 170 is on the extreme side of being alittle too big for your rim. Thats why we are discussing the fitment. The 170 is a risk factor and should be a use your own judgement call. We are merely stateing it can be done but its not the safest bet.

I had a 160/60 17 on my bike when I first got it and the wear paterns were a mess. I dont think I would ever put one of those on again. I put the stock size bac on and it wasnt as boucey any more.

                  This is the caliper bracket.

The raised ridge on the bracket would slide between 2 equally raised ridges on the swingarm. Once it's bolted in, it's unable to go anywhere.

I do offer my services on such mods, but I don't buy/resell parts atm. If you want me to modify and make it work, plus purchase all the parts... I'll do that. It's on a one up service though. I tried a couple of pre-made kits and 1 took forever to sell, the other was a huge headache because the purchaser wasn't... very... smart. He wouldn't believe me that the arms are not symetrical ( so he thought it was a bad arm... ).

                  I offer advice for free...

And for you guys close enough, I even offer the option to bring it over and I'll show you/help you in person. I don't do the welding though, so that requires a little bit of travel, but I can arrange that as well.

I was running 150 Michelin pilot activ , now running 160 Conti Road attacks. Much better tire, lots of room , tons of grip. Will go with the 170 this year

I think someone reading this thread snatched it up ? But I assume all RF600 brackets are the same ?
Were would I find the internal pieces? Is it something that can be make from scratch?

There are 2 versions of the rf600 bracket.

                          1. Uses the brake torque arm, and is pictured in this thread with the black 4.5" rim and set I posted.

                          2. Uses no torque arm like the ebay link.

The slide on the swingarm would need to be manufactured and welded on. It's something fairly simple to do I would think. There isn't going to be a seperate part to purchase... it's made with the swingarms for the OEM parts.

I'm the one that actually bought the one linked... I figured I've been planning on doing one version like that, so ... Time to tinker. Thinking I might swap my swingarm out on my 750 now that I've gotten so much better on doing it since that first one.

Im running that tire and its great. It looks better, you get a little more rubber on the road to improve handling. By the way thats not my bike in the picture. I was at a bike show in york. lol

Go ahead and add me to the 170 club.
Got about 10 miles on it now.
So far no complaints. Well, let me take that back. I beat the hell out of my brake torque arm with a sledge hammer so it looks alittle knicked up (lol).
I'll go back and sand it out later
Oh, I do have a post-98 wheel kids
