Here;s an interesting fact that I finally figured out. The +98 Kat with the rotor mounted low will not accept a pre 98 rim. The rotor is too large & bottoms out on the caliper. I discovered this after about 2 hours of wondering why the dang thing kept binding up. I don't think many will do this conversion but if it saves someone some frustration then I'm glad I could help.
P.S. - Only threw a few tools & a rear wheel lift in frustration a few times before I figured it out.
