Personally, I hate Dunlops...
If you do sport touring, as I just suspect one bought a 'Busa to do, I would stongly consider the Metzler Z6 or Bridgestone BT020...
If you ride a lot of highway (no idea if you do or not) Pilot Powers would square way too easily. As would Diablo Corsas, BT014s, or any other SS tire. Even regular Diablos wouldn't get much life due to center wear...
Welcome to the world of bikes with torque, by the way. You will most likely get about 60% of the milage you used to on your Kat. Torque shreds tires...

I've got Metzlers on the Kat and they're great. My (ex) brother-in-law swears by the Dunlops on his Gixx 1000. I'll give them a try.
You're right Steve, I don't expect to get anywhere near the milage I got on the Kat so I figure if I don't like them, it won't be too long before I get to replace them.
Oh and Steve (Older Guy),
I'm sure take-offs are great. But after almost two months of "post ArmorAll fear" I welcome the refreshing feeling of confidence that comes from newly scuffed up NEW tires.sigpic

I'm tellin' ya that those Power's are simply awesome. I can't see any discernable wear (well maybe a little on the sides) after three weeks of canyons and 82 miles per day commute to and from work. I never felt any slipping even under hard braking and hard loading (downhill on Palomar) from them. My front 120/70/17 was only $108.00 so they aren't that expensive. In fact here in San Diego, they are cheaper than the Sports. Go figure??? Anyhow, once the Road on the back wears out, it's a Power back there too.

Hey Tom, I got a flat yesterday too. Unforntunatly mine happened while on the freeway instead of noticing it in the parking lot. I've had the 208's before on my 1100, and I wasn't all that impressed with them. I just ordered some diablos to replace my stock d218's. Heard a lot of good about them.-Mikey D
