I know that I should be happy but I need some advice. This is the third front tire I've had on the bike in under a year. All three end up looking like pyramids within a very short time. This last one (a dunslop) has been on the bike for all of two weeks and is starting to get pointy. I do ride about 64 miles of twisties to and from work 5 days a week but not overly aggressively. I am just wondering if I'm pushing the front end too much or if maybe I'm way to far forward or I'm not getting good enough weight transfer back to the rear tire???? Any help is appreciated.

I have an answer to this thread and your other one about you being a speed demon squid.......Lets trade bikes! You get the Kat back....and I get to paint your Gixer silver and black. That will slow you down a little bit, and keep your tires round....er..ish...1995 GSX-R 750W (Barney Bike - Street)

It's the weight of the bike (that's a heavy one) and the type of riding, plus the selection of rubber. To get more life out of the tires, you'll need a harder compound tire or more flat-surface riding. Which tires have you tried on it?
One other thought:
Maybe we need to have a double-life for our tires -- I send you my old ones with the middle flattened out from riding in Florida (& general high-speed interstate runs), and you send me your old ones with the edges worn away from the canyon riding :P (exceptin' I don't use Dunlops anymore).
Cheers

Like Cyber said, try driving some straight road and square those tires off, try railing on square tires lmaoTDA Racing/Motorsports
