  • Brake rotor re-surfacing

    Hey;

    I'm going to replace the front and rear pads on my bike this weekend....(I'm replacing the stock ones with the the metallic ones.)
    I noticed the brake rotors have some groves in them. I don't think they are deep enough to warrant replacing them... Do I or should I re-finish the surface of the rotors... ??? How should I do it..??

    I vaguely remember reading someone saying that motorcycle rotors are generally too thin to resurface and maintain the minimum thickness. Someone smarter than me will probably chime in before too long though

      Not worth machining, way too thin.
      90% of motorcycle forum members do not have a service manual for their bike.
