If you didn't remove the shim, do so... as the EBC pads aren't supposed to be installed with the shim.

Then clean up the little rod with a 3m scotch-brite pad.

They will probably always squeek a little...

The squeak I get is like the sound a car's brakes make when the pads are worn down too far and the metal warning strip touches the rotor. High pitch, steady tone. No warbling or groaning.

My pins were cleaned and lubed when reinstalled, so I don't think it's that.

I DID however ride the rear brakes a little hard on my "test drive" after I first installed them, so maybe they just glazed up a bit? Should I try some emery cloth on the rotor?
