i would think another great benefit of going to a post98 swingarm would be that of easier to raise or lower the bike as post98 have a flat plate dogbone, and pre98 have curved with bearings. i considered the conversion at one point.

yes, that is true, even though I've made lowering parts for a pre, it was all 98+ suspension parts
