Interesting link, but something that a Kat (esp. late model kats) shouldn't need if running without damage & with good, balance tires... The long frame geometry and wheelbase makes it an inherently stable platform, and one that will dampen headshake when it does occur... So the question I have is -- why?

      Cheers

Some forms of racing require them.

Lowering the frontend or raising the rearend will speed up turning but also makes the bike a little less stable. A steering damper would correct the instability.

right on point ! i lowered my front end and makes a huge difference in turn in speed - plus i regeared with sprockets so i drive out with more torque -i do feel the front end get light.
            - this may be in my future ( although i'd like a scot system )

Oh............it's a mandatory requirement for ECTA racing.

I just ordered one last week, but I'm planning on installing it ABOVE the fairing between the trees...........we'll see if my crazy idea works!
I've owned over 70 Katanas - you think I know anything about them?
Is there such a thing as TOO MANY BIKES?
Can you go TOO FAST on a bike?
