  • Checking interest: possible Lowering and lifting kits

I have found a machine shop that makes and sells CNC machined lowering bones for the 98+ katanas. I spoke to him about possible turning out a shorter dogbone for those that want the tail lift.
I told him i would get with "My People" and get back to him if there was interest. He sells the lowering links for $40 shipped, we should be able to get the lift for the same price maybe a bit more since he has to set them up.

Lowering links are 8" from center to center giving about a 2" brop in the rear.
The longer ones would be 7 1/4" long..(the shortest you can go) proviging a 1 3/8" lift to the rear.
I have installed the lowing links on my wifes 2002 600 and they work great.

For those of you with pre 98 bikes, do not dispair, I am working on that too. For about $75 I have found all the parts I need to convert the rear end of my 92 to the 98+ swingarm, shock linkage, and rear brake assembly. When I get started I'll post all the info as it happens.

Looks like you might be duplicating some effort here Chris on what others have already done:

I've owned over 70 Katanas - you think I know anything about them?
Is there such a thing as TOO MANY BIKES?
Can you go TOO FAST on a bike?
