Handlebar interchangeable for pre 96 600 to 750

I need to replace the right handle assy for my 89 750. I know the triple is dif. on the 600, but I just need to use the bar assy, not the bar mount. Are the bars the same length and bolt into the tree at the same place??? I can get one off a wrecked 600 for pretty much the cost of shipping sooo. Can I just unbolt old tube and swap on the tube from a 600?

The bars on the pre98's are all the same.

I would have thought they would be the same. The part numbers are this much off. Mine is 56110-20C00. The 600 is 56110-19C00. Go figure. What's that? A millimeter differance? LOL! Could be the mounting point for all I know.
