Swingarm is now Gloss Jet Black. As well as the Dog Bones (links) and the rims are prepped and masked, just too darn cold with a 6*F windchill to be in the shop.
Me and Mike (96_black_kat) are pulling the swingarm and rims this week sometime, prepping for paint, and to be sprayed saturday. Will definitely post up pictures. Grips and tank protector should be in by then to . Thanks for all the compliments, helps keep me motivated
Alright KR, After a STEEP learning curve in relation to how paints react to one another, I finally got the kat in preparation to be finished. After my highside a few months ago, I decided to make it new (almost) again. So far:
Hardware:
New Rear Tire: 160-60-17 Conti Road Attack
New Front Tire: 120-70-17 Conti Road Attack
New Brakes : EBC HH Pads
Rotors good
New Handle Bar - (Thanks Chris)
One The Way:
Stickers from blazerzr2 (as soon as I make up my mind)
Exhaust Currently on-the-way
FP Jet Kit
EK Chain and Sprockets
Aesthetics:
Black Grips w/ Blue Flames - Ordered Awaiting Arrival -Still waiting
Silver(ish) Carbon Fiber Tank Pad - Installed
Pulling Swingarm, Painting Jet Black - Pulled & Painted
Pulling Both Rims, Getting Jet Black paint - Rims Off & Masked
Flush Mount Turn Signals
Blue paint job was done with OMNI Basecoat/Clearcoat and a FineX gun by Sharpe. (great combination, its extremely forgiving.
And Finally got rid of my shadetree red paintjob for something with more "bling" I guess.
