that's a great find... I just stumbled acrossed them myself while looking at their closeouts...
I have a pair of SMX-4s and they are a great set of boots... I'm sure the SMX-Rs are just a newer version of the same boot.. you'll like them after you break them in..(they are a bit stiff out of the box, but that's expected)

I'll let the pictures do the talking
arrived a day early from TX!
side
rear
side
already took it out for a spin
binding to secure the boot
YKK zipper, with Velcro attachment
Comfy!
adjustment to fit different calf sizes
rear vents
overall this is a VERY comfortable boot right outa box. I've heard some people say it's not for walking and blah blah blah, but what they didn't know/didn't do is if you unzip the boot you can walk in it ALL DAY LONG as if you were wearing sneakers. I'm one happy man

they are actually pretty quiet.... compare to squeaky squeaky Sidi.
I've been wearing them all day under my dress pants at work to break them in a bit. my co-workers start calling me "yo, Robocop!"

I tried these boots on at the local motorcycle gear shop 2 weeks ago and I fell in love with them compared to the cheaper boots by a competitor. They feel like I'm walking on air. I haven't broken them in yet (and can't get away with wearing them under my suit at work) but it appears the buyer gets what's paid for. I really like the hard plastic armor around the foot. Expensive, but very nice.
