I am attaching the Scorpion tonight. I finally got the muffler connector gasket from RonAyers this morning. I will post some pics once finished. It looks so nice and I like the sleek oval design of it. I am really looking forward to hearing the sound.

My first question would be what brand jet kit are they going to install. Personaly I would skip the K&N filter and go with the Ivan Jet Kit. As for the Hindle or the scorpion, I have heard good things about both. I have not heard what a scorpion sounds like on a Kat first hand, but I do have the Hindle and love it.

Ok, she is installed. I had to take off the can after I installed and apply some rv sealant where the pipe connects to the can. No biggie though, I had to do the same for the D & D and it worked like a charm. I could not even tell it leaked until I did the water test and saw bubbles towards the very bottom of the clamp. All tight now.

I highly recommend to anyone getting a Scorpion to grab a new muffler connector gasket from Ronayers and save yourslef some time and trouble. The D & D pipe was actually thicker, barely noticable but when put in that old gasket there is a difference. The Bottom line is the Scorpion was loose with the old connector while the D & D was not, and yes I slipped the D & D back on there to make sure when I still had it. Now with the new connector no problems.

Looks? Absolutely awesome. I love the look of the carbon fiber. Stays cool to the touch even when the bike has been running a long time. This is exactly why I grabbed the carbon. I like the attention to detail where on the rear of the pipe has scorpion engraved with a scoropin symbol. Cool stuff. And below that, it says for race us only engraved in the metal.

Sound? Ok all I can compare it to is stock, a D & D, and a Yoshi. My D & D was just a tad louder than this can so I am very pleased. I will miss the tone and growl of my D & D and I was hoping that thing was not too quiet! Well she is not even close to being quiet. It screams over the neighbors Yoshi on his SV but again, jusy slightly below the D & D! It has a very aggressive growl to it like the D & D, but again, just not quite as loud.

Overall, very pleased! I recommend it!

Thanks bro. I did not even clean it up when I took the pic. It still had my paw marks all over it. I am taking her to work tomorrow to see how she growls at 8,000RPM going up Route 2!

Do you still want those Black Ultra Jag mirrors? I installed the carbon ones yesterday.
