  • Slip-on or Bolt-on

I am buying a Yoshimura RS-3 CF and faced with the decision between the slip-on and bolt-on.
I thought I would pose the question for debate. Pros and cons with regards to performance, durability, and appearance.

Unless you're asking about a slip-on vs. full system, you'll get the slip-on. The term bolt-on usually refers to cans that bolt to the stock headers as on bike like the TLR and Hayabusa. It's determined by the design of the stock headers and isn't something you typically have a choice of.

It's been a while since I looked at Katana pipes, but I believe they're all slip-ons (again, unless you're asking about a full system).
I like you. When the world is mine your death will be quick and painless.

Oh, I see. I always thought there was a difference.
Knowing the Katana takes the RS-3, I seen in order catalogues a choice of slip-on or bolt-on.
So the bolt-on is designed for specific bikes, where the slip-on is able to fit on just about everything else.
Thank you for the response. It certainly clears up everything for me in that regard 8)
