  • Hand Guards

Yes they look dumb, but they do work. Because I ride year round I have always wanted a way to block the wind on my hands so I could wear my smaller gloves for more control. (I have small hands) I saw a few hippo mitts and other covers that did not seem to work on my kat so I made my own!

Using aluminum sheets and my metal brake I made v shaped hand guards. (Connected by Poprivets and then coated in rubber.) I have used them in rain, snow, and those 3 degree days here near philly. Hands were much warmer and kept my entire glove from getting wet.

Good idea. They could be a little more stylish, but hey if they work that's great.

I live about 25 miles east of Pittsburgh. This winter has beat us down. I haven't seen one this cold in 20 years. You ride all year long and this helps, you get 2 thmbs up from me. Who cares what others think. I can start a whole rant on the Kan-of-tuna thing right now, but i won't. I stand with you, function is way more inportant than looks. It is a genius design.
