  • Caliper rebuild sticker shock

Went to order rebuild kits for a set of front calipers from a pre-600 and holy-moley! Best price I could find with new pistons is $140! I can find just the seals for $50 but good grief.

Anybody know a less expensive place to find a complete kit?

No, just get the seals. You can clean the pistons just fine with scotchbrite.

Assuming his pistons aren't cratered from years of neglect

True, 9 times out of 10 you don't need new pistons.

Yeah, I'm hoping this is one of those 9 times. There's a little pitting but hopefully new seals will cover it.

I have an extra set of Tokico four pots laying around as well.

PM me some numbers guys. Either option would work for me. I'm not 100% confident in these pots and I like to be 100% on my brakes. Way I see it, if the engine fails I might have to walk. If the brakes fail I might not be able to walk. Walking's good.
