  • 2001 750 Front Fender Removal

I just recently purchased my first bike 2001 750 Katana with 6700 miles for $2,000. The biggest problem is the front fender is yellow and the rest of the bike is black. Its got some more spots here and there but that is the first thing I want to get taken care of. Im not sure if I need to remove the tire to take the front fender off or not. If any body has any input it would be greatly appriciated. Thank you and have a great day: Tim

    Isn't that the stupidest thing???

You do in fact have to remove the tire..
Then you take the 4 screws holding the fender to the brace off.
Then remove the brace... Then you can remove the fender..

If Tylenol made their packages like Suzuki designed the fender there wouldn't have been an issue..

Is there a lot to removing the tire? It would be great if there are instructions.

        Lift front wheel off ground.
Loosen axle pinch bolts (if present)
        remove brake calipers
        remove axle.
        Wheel falls off.

          keep track of the spacers
dont mes with the front brake at ALL.
          reassemble in reverse order.
torque the axle and pinch bolt, and calipers properly, and put the cotter pin back in the castle nut.

Yeah, don't do it on a hill...

And do your self a favor, take pictures of the wheel assembly so you get the spacers back right. People have trashed their brakes by putting the spacers in wrong..
