when it comes down to it, yu have to research each piece of gear you buy...brand names doesn't mean best quality, but it usually means somewhere to turn if the gear turns out to have a manufacturing flaw or such.

of the stuff mentioned above, all i've heard of is the Fuel helmet(no actual experience) and the Vega boots(also no actual experience)

I've stuck with the bigger brand names myself... higher end HJC helmets, Sidi boots, Fieldsheer mesh armored jackets and pants, Fieldsheer sport leather pants, Joe rocket armored solid textile pants, Icon leather jacket, Icon and Cortech gloves...... etc.

All of which i bought at deep discounts, or from closeout sites...do some searching and looking around on the std sites(motorcyclecloseouts.com for one)... and dont forget craigslist... about this time you'll start seeing used gear hittin the list.

Dont buy a used helmet/gloves... thats like buying someones used jockstrap

as a note, everything ya see me wearing in the profile pic an avatar was closeout cheap aside from the gloves.
HJC FS-10 Fossil helmet, $99 (still on sale at motorcyclecloseouts
    Cortech Accelerator gloves, newenough.com, $54
Icon Motorhead leather jacket, $125 new, tags still on it on CL
Fieldsheer Sport leather pants, new, $129 motorcyclecloseouts
Sidi Vertebra 2 race boots, $100 used on CL (worn twice, bike stolen!)

you can be safe on a budget!

Don't think I would trust my egg in a 64$ lid.

For $35 more you can find Scorpion EXO's on clearance these days.

        I don't remember where but I saw EXO-1000's on for $99 recently.

The only one you listed that I've heard of is the boots and they tend to be low budget entry boots.

Check out for some good deals on clearance items
Sportbike Track Gear offers one of the best selections of motorcycle gear in the industry. Buy helmets, jackets, parts, tires & more online for a great price!

Also if you know your rough sizes hit up craigslist, your local bike forum and you may be able to find some good deals.

If your willing to spend a little more, ok a lot more for $249 you can get fieldsheer suits from ironpony, they also had some agv suits there for the same price last time I was down there.

it's over double what you posted BUT it's a track legal suit if you decide to do any track days in the future.

AS for gloves, again Iron pony had some on clearance, get on newenoughs mailing list as they always have something with big discounts.

I almost always buy my gear from one of the local shops. The selection is usually worse and I pay a bit more but I think it's worth it to support the local shops.
Also EVERY time I order something online I get it and it doesn't fit.

Moreso with amazon, its knowing the seller. Ive bought tires from motorcycle superstore, as well as an hjc helmet. The helmet is normally $150, and if I got it in any other color or size, thats what it would have been, but only wound up paying $65 for it, cause it was the last they had, and the new models were coming out. Leatherup I ordered a hawk helmet for my girl and some gloves for myself, havent recived them yet, should be here tommorow, will write a review then. Jackets 4 bikes I know many other people here have bought from, and seem to be happy. With all of them, I suggest checking their actual website. Normally the price is better, you can sometimes use coupons, such as I have a 10% off at leatherup coupon I could give you, and easier return if you buy it from their website. Make sure you do some research on your lid, such as if it has REAL dot ceritification or snell. As long as the company is reputable, and the helmet is not a modular, u should be fine.

Vega is a great company with great products.

Both their helmets and boots are awesome for the $$$

I Have a owned shoie, still own Kiwi and Icon helmets, but my favorite is my Vega Altura havok. It cost me $120

I don't think they cheapo jackets are worth it at all. I have a friend who has one and it really is cheaply made. Just spend the extra buck or two for a nice leather jacket by a reputable company. After all, it is your safety.
