The old guy that works in our body shop showed me a neat trick the other day about how to get a perfect rattle can spray job. All he did was fill a bucket with abut 4inch of hot water. (He just turned the faucet as hot as it will go) Then sit you can of spray paint in the water and then it heat up. He shook the can before and after it went into the water. The heat from the water makes all the chemicals in the can blend together and spray more uniform.
I was highly impressed with the outcome. He was working on a golf cart and was too lazy to get out his spray gun so he used this technique. You can never tell the difference... but make sure you body work is good, it looks just like a professional spray job, so every little flaw shows.
