Man you have a project on your hands, counting all the stuff I've done to my bike with a normal previous owner.

Hats off to you my man for undertaking that project.

You are definitely a better man than I!! Keep us appraised on the rebuild.

Yeah, my car is havin problems so im having to work on that too... so progress on this beast is kinda slow....

but i took my rotors will me to work tonight and resurfaced them as best i could....

the front ones are fine, but the back one had some grooves in it for sure from the caliper....

So next step is obviously puttin the brakes back together, meaning, new or rebuilt caliper and new brake pads... then changin the oil and spark plugs.... cleaning and re-lubing the chain... prolly will rebuild the carbs also...

Ok, the last few pictures didn't show up when I originally posted that.

But yea, that looks like an sweet project you got there.

as said before, i'd consider streetfightering that bike ...

there's going to be considerable expense collecting all the plastics and little bits that are missing (unless you have them in a box already) then there's possibly repainting them if you want the bike shiney/pretty/all matching...

fightered requires a little imagination and doesn't necessarily cost much (just the essentials) , here's a gsx1100f fighter ...

              it ain't broke ....

              i ain't fixed it enough

yeah, i prolly am going to turn it into a "streetfighter" type bike, i will prolly just polish the frame and make the engine look pretty then put a new headlight set up on it, and run it without plastics....

Luckily for me i started with a runing a drivable bike so its not to huge of a project.... i also bought a 91 honda vfr 750... and that bike will prolly be a huge project....

rehab that chain? give that one more thought. you can score chain and sprocket sets off e-bay and other for as little as $60 A complete stock steel sprokets and gold x-ring chain from RK. full retail is close to $200. brake caliper rebuild kits are very reasonable and complete from most any Suzi dealer, and you know what you're getting isnt trashed

if you want your frame to stand out you could follow this kind of idea (pick your own colour)

                          http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h1...ke/30a6_12.jpg

since that photo was taken the owner has carved the back end about considerably and is changing the seat unit/subframe for something a lot stumpier
